Find quick answers to common questions about spill containment, compliance, materials, and best practices.

All faqs
Our factory once faced a major spill, and cleanup took a whole day. Is there a faster method?

Yes. First, use absorbent socks to build a dike and contain the spill within a small area. Then apply UPQUARK Extremely Absorbent Pads or Rolls, which saturate instantly upon contact. Unlike conventional absorbents, they lock the liquid in place, preventing further spread and reducing cleanup time.

Why do UPQUARK absorbents come in white, gray, and yellow?

White: Oil Only – hydrophobic and oleophilic, ideal for oil-based spills.

Gray: Universal – suitable for most liquids, but not recommended for hazardous chemicals due to color management.

Yellow: Hazmat – designed for hazardous or unknown liquids; the bright color also serves as a safety warning.

Why should I use Loose Absorbents?

Pads and socks absorb large volumes but may leave residues, especially oils on smooth floors. Loose absorbents, with their free-flowing structure, remove final traces and provide thorough cleanup.

Do you recommend using Absorbent Collectors?

Yes. Collectors prevent direct contact with liquids, crucial for corrosives. They also reduce bending and manual effort when placing or picking up pads and pillows, improving safety and efficiency.

Can used absorbents be incinerated?

We do not recommend incineration. While chemically stable, UPQUARK absorbents may release toxic or harmful byproducts depending on the absorbed liquid. Always follow local regulations and waste disposal standards for safe handling.
